1. Who we are

These terms govern your use of oakpath.us (the “site”), operated by Oak Path Accounting and Advisory Services (“Oak Path”, “we”, “us”), 32406 Franklin Rd., #250225, Franklin, MI 48025, United States. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. The site is information, not advice

Everything published here — including service descriptions, indicative pricing, articles and examples — is general information about our practice. It is not accounting, tax, audit, legal or investment advice, and it does not create a client relationship. Do not act on anything on this site without advice specific to your circumstances.

A client relationship with Oak Path begins only when both parties sign a written engagement letter setting out scope, fees and responsibilities. Nothing on this site, and no email or form submission, creates that relationship on its own.

3. Pricing shown here is indicative

Rates described as “starting from” are floors, not quotations. Final fees depend on transaction volume, entity and account count, payroll headcount and the condition of your existing records, and are confirmed in writing after a diagnostic. We may change published rates at any time; a fee already agreed in a signed engagement letter is not affected.

4. Using the site

You agree not to:

• use the site for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these terms;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or connected systems;
• interfere with the site’s operation, security or availability;
• scrape, harvest or systematically extract content or contact details; or
• copy, republish or redistribute our content commercially without written permission.

5. What you send us

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit through the site and for having the right to share it. Do not send passwords, banking credentials, full account numbers or other sensitive material through the contact form or by unencrypted email. If we need sensitive documents, we will send you a secure method.

Unsolicited ideas, proposals or materials are not treated as confidential.

6. Intellectual property

The site’s content, design, brand marks, logos and code belong to Oak Path or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. Photography is licensed from third-party providers and may not be extracted or reused. You may view and print pages for your own reference; any other use requires our written consent.

7. Third-party links and tools

The site may link to or embed third-party services — scheduling tools, form handlers, accounting platforms and similar. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. Their own terms and privacy notices apply to your use of them.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site without notice.

9. Disclaimers and limits

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Oak Path is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our obligations to clients are governed by the signed engagement letter, not by this page.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Oak Path against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your misuse of the site or breach of these terms.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The version published here, with its stated date, is the one that applies. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts serving Oakland County, Michigan have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
